"Sleek Audio, an audio equipment manufacturer who are so convinced by their SA6 in-ear monitor headphones that they don’t actually make anything else, have announced that they will be the next company to use Kleer’s wireless audio technology. Kleer’s system, ostensibly a rival to Bluetooth A2DP, is special because of its ability to carry CD-quality audio despite ultra low power consumption. The new Sleek implementation will also support Kleer’s Listen In technology, which allows up to four users to hear the same source from a single transmitter."

Sennheiser MX W1 Wireless Earphones a Head-Fi.org
Best of CES 2008 Winner

"The MX W1, according to the first release I read, uses a newer, better wireless technology called Kleer by Kleer Coporation, which currently has a peak throughput (bit rate) of 2.37MB/second, which is enough to transmit full CD quality (16/44.1) stereo audio without compression, wirelessly. Still, with two completely untethered earpieces that look very much like a pair of mobile Bluetooth headsets, it was hard for me to expect much performance from the MX W1--that is, until I actually heard the MX W1 in action during one of Sennheiser’s pre-CES events. Once I had the earpieces properly in place and hit the "play" button on the portable rig I had with me at the time (a second-generation 8GB Apple iPod nano connected to a Ray Samuels Audio Predator via an ALO Audio iPod dock cable), I couldn’t believe what I was hearing."

"DigiFi has teamed up with fabless semiconductor developer Kleer for the Opera, a wireless over-the-ear-style ear bud with iPod adapter. Using Kleer's 2.4GHz radio-link wireless technology, Opera offers users CD-quality audio and 10 hours of continuous play time as a result of its lossless compression and low latency capabilities, the company said. A reference design of the product was demonstrated by Kleer at this year's International CES but no specific manufacturing partners were announced until now."

"Comfortable headsets are great when you can find them. If they are cordless it’s even better. Now add the ability to listen to your iPod wirelessly for up to 10 hours straight. If that is not enough – what if you and three other people could share the wireless connection? Have I peaked your interest yet?"

"But Korean company DigiFi is looking to add some momentum to a new technology called Kleer. It has similar capabilities to Bluetooth but claims superior sound and 10 times the battery life. Called The Opera, the device is a pair of wraparound headphones with an ear bud on either side. All that's needed is to plug the tiny Kleer wireless dongle into your iPod or other music player's headphone jack and the earphones automatically link up and synchronize with the player." "We're been fans of Kleer wireless audio technology since we first gave it a listen back at CES in January 2007." Read the rest of the article on the engadget website >>

"DigiFi's new Digital Opera headphones use the high-efficiency, high-quality Kleer wireless tech to get your tunes from your iPod to your ears. We're also digging the neat over-ear design with curly cable, which looks like it'll be good non-tangler, and the fact that up to four people can listen to the same feed, as long as they have the earphones too. They have over 10 hours play time, and have "CD-quality" audio... "

"And now comes along a pair of ear plugs to test the resolve. The Opera ear buds are wireless; the sound is relayed via a small transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack of your DAP. It runs on Kleer, a wireless technology that claims better audio quality than Bluetooth. And they're only 98 bucks when they come out in June."
