Kleer Helps RCA ‘Cut the Cord’ but Keep the Music on New RCA Jet Stream Digital Media Player

Cupertino, CA, November 13, 2007 - Kleer (www.kleer.com) today announced that the company’s wireless technology has enabled RCA Audio/Video to ‘cut the cord’ between player and earphone in its new Jet Stream digital media player—part of RCA’s new Gem Line of digital music players. Specifically targeted at sports enthusiasts, the Jet Stream incorporates Kleer’s wireless technology to free consumers from the annoyance of tangled wires when working out, while delivering crystal-clear stereo sound that is equivalent in high quality to a wired version. RCA Jet Stream users can enjoy over 10 hours of playback from a single charge compared to a typical wireless solution used with cell phones that would offer only two to three hours of battery life.

Kleer’s technology enables Jet Stream users to enjoy wireless audio quality that is equivalent to a wired player. Unlike Bluetooth technology, which uses lossy audio compression solutions that severely impact audio quality, Kleer uses lossless transmission of 16-bit, 44.1KHz-sampled stereo audio. Lossless transmission also enables the ‘beaming’ of music or other data files from one player to another. Kleer’s lossless transmission, combined with best-in-class 2.4GHz band co-existence, provides a far superior audio quality than a comparable Bluetooth solution.
